The King and Queen seats are designed to suit 1986-2003 Sportsters precisely. A SISSY BAR MUST BE USED WITH THE KING AND QUEEN SEATS. They’re designed to work with our tall bolt-on sissy bar for Sportsters from 1996 to 2003, but you can make your own if you have an older model. DO NOT RUN THIS SEAT WITHOUT SUPPORT FROM A SISSY BAR.

The seat will suit Sportsters from 1986 to 2003, but the sissy bar we now provide will only fit Sportsters from 1996 to 2003. If you choose the sissy bar as an option on this page, make sure your motorcycle falls within that year range. It’s made of bare mild steel that you may paint or polish to your choice. If you have one of the early Sportster, you’ll need to make your own sissy bar to support the seat because there isn’t an available option on the market that will work with the angle of the backrest.
